How to leverage innovation and knowledge in your company

For many global companies, managing and sharing knowledge is not an easy task. Local pockets of excellence and lack of overview lead to frustration, duplication of effort and missing alignment. Empowering employees through harnessing internal drive for innovation is the key to success. However, managing internal innovation and knowledge is not only top-down but requires a bottom-up approach. How can we achieve this?
Dr. Michelangelo Canzoneri, global head of technology & innovation for therapeutic proteins at Sanofi, has developed a possible solution: BITMAP. The BITMAP platform has been launched last year and awarded as Young Industrial Talent by Philippe Luscan, EVP Industrial Affairs and Olivier Brandicourt, CEO of Sanofi.
BITMAP stands for Biologics Innovation and Technology MAnagement Process and is composed of three different elements: People, Business Process and IT-Platform. It builds a sustainable global network of experts, to harmonize the evaluation and implementation of strategic technologies during development and manufacturing of (bio)pharmaceutical drugs.
